Cape Byron Lighthouse

Built in 1901 the Cape Byron Lighthouse stands 113 metres above the sea and today houses Australia's most powerful light. The grounds around the lighthouse are open from 8am to 5.30pm daily. - Cape Byron Lighthouse is currently used as a base for whale watching.Admission to the grounds is free, but if you are driving there is a $4 parking fee. Tours of the lighthouse are conducted at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm on Tuesday and Thursday and at 10am, 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tours cost are: Adult - $8; Child/Concession - $6 (no children under 5); Family - $25. Group tours by arrangement.
Captain Cook Lookout
Located in the Cape Byron State Recreation Area the Captain Cook Lookout is the starting point for the Cape Byron Walking Track. This 3.5 kilometre walk takes you up to the lighthouse and back to the lookout on a looping track. On the way you will pass some of Byron's famous beaches plus take in some great views of the coastline.Julian Rocks Marine Reserve Off Cape Byron
Located about three kilometres off Cape Byron, Julian Rocks is an ancient sedimentary rock which is the remains of an volcanic eruption. This unique habitat provides shelter and food for more than 500 tropical and temperate fish species.Diving

This is a great way for the kids to spend a couple of hours. In just two hours they can learn how to fly the trapeze (with a safety harness and net) and in the school holidays there are also circus schools. Two hour flying trapeze classes are $35 and circus classes are $25.
